We recently discovered that a batch of propellers included with a small number of our Skydio 2 drones and/or upgrade kits may, in rare instances, experience unexpected wear that could pose a potential safety risk. Out of an abundance of caution, we are proactively offering replacement propellers to any Skydio customer who may be affected.
This potential issue only applies to a very small number of Skydio 2 drone propellers. All customers who received propellers in the identified batch have been personally contacted to coordinate their replacements. If you have been contacted, please do not fly a potentially impacted Skydio 2 drone until you receive the replacement propellers to avoid the potential safety risk. Once you receive the new replacement propellers, please immediately replace and discard your existing propellers along with any impacted propellers included in your upgrade kit.
No news is good news! If you have not been contacted directly by Skydio to receive your new propellers, you should not be concerned.
