Technical FP&A Analyst

About the Role:

We’re looking for a Technical FP&A Analyst who combines strong financial judgment with data and automation skills. This role sits at the intersection of finance, data systems, and decision support. You will partner with leaders to drive planning and reporting while also designing automated pipelines, dashboards, and tools that improve the speed and quality of financial insights.

The ideal candidate is both a finance operator and a builder — someone comfortable owning forecasts and budgets while also writing queries, automating workflows, and leveraging AI tools to eliminate manual reporting.

How you'll make an impact:

• Own budgets and forecasting for partner teams, delivering clear reporting and financial insights that support strategic decisions

• Support close cycles, board preparation, and ad hoc analysis while managing deadlines across reporting and planning processes

• Build automated workflows, dashboards, and reporting pipelines that replace manual processes and improve speed and accuracy

• Write SQL queries and work across platforms such as Palantir Foundry, Databricks, and NetSuite to transform and deliver financial data

• Leverage AI tools and programmatic workflows to accelerate analysis, generate reports, detect anomalies, and automate repetitive finance tasks

What makes you a good fit:

• A foundation in finance or accounting through a degree or work experience

• Strong SQL skills; you're comfortable writing non-trivial queries and can debug someone else's

• Experience with at least one enterprise data platform (Databricks, Palantir Foundry, Snowflake, or similar)

• A track record of materially improving processes through task automation or alerting/notifications

• Comfort operating in ambiguity

• Clear communication skills; you can explain a result to someone who doesn't share your background

Bonus points for:

• Familiarity with Python, JavaScript, or other foundational languages

• Experience implementing or administering finance planning tools such as Workday Adaptive or Anaplan

• Familiarity with NetSuite or other ERP systems

Compensation:

At Skydio, our compensation packages for regular, full-time employees include competitive base salaries, equity in the form of stock options, and comprehensive benefits packages. Compensation will vary based on factors, including skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience. Relocation assistance may also be provided for eligible roles. The annual base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000*.
