Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Analyst to join our dynamic supply chain team. This role is crucial in supporting the seamless movement of goods across international borders. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing import/export documentation, ensuring trade compliance, resolving customs delays, and handling customer service inquiries related to international shipments.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Import/Export Documentation:
    Prepare, review, and maintain accurate import and export documentation in compliance with all applicable regulations, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bills of lading, and shipping instructions. Work with assigned brokers for any required customs filings; EEI, export license, etc

  • Trade Compliance:
    Ensure company adherence to international trade laws and regulations, including EAR, ITAR, and other regional trade agreements. Monitor regulatory changes and update internal processes accordingly. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to assess risks and implement corrective actions.

  • Customs and Border Coordination:
    Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies to facilitate smooth customs clearance. Monitor shipments for delays or holds at customs and take immediate action to resolve issues. Maintain detailed records of customs activity and clearance status.

  • Customer Service Support:
    Serve as a point of contact for customers regarding the status of international shipments. Proactively communicate potential delays, expected delivery times, and documentation requirements. Respond promptly to inquiries and provide accurate information to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
    Analyze logistics data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement in the international shipping process. Generate reports on shipping performance, customs clearance times, and compliance metrics.

  • Collaboration and Process Improvement:
    Work cross-functionally with procurement, warehouse, sales, and customer service teams to streamline international logistics processes. Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure timely delivery of goods.

Qualifications:

  • 2–4 years of experience in international logistics, import/export operations, or trade compliance.

  • Strong knowledge of global trade regulations, customs documentation, and shipping practices.

  • Proficiency with ERP and TMS systems; experience with SAP or Oracle is a plus.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with HTS classification.

  • Familiarity with Incoterms

Compensation: At Skydio, our compensation packages for regular, full-time employees include competitive base salaries, equity in the form of stock options, and comprehensive benefits packages. Compensation will vary based on factors, including skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience. Relocation assistance may also be provided for eligible roles. The annual base salary range for this position is $112,000 - $147,000*.
