Lakeland Police Department saved a woman by finding a heat signature smaller than a bird.

She had been missing on Lake Parker for hours and was feared drowned, hidden in dense aquatic vegetation. Ofc. Tom Anderson zoomed in on a faint thermal anomaly, saw a hand move, and guided a rescue boat that had already passed within a foot of her.
