Skydio's Hayward Facility Earns ISO 14001 Environmental Certification While Accelerating U.S. Drone Manufacturing
The certification follows Skydio's addition to the Blue UAS Cleared List, adding another independent validation of the company's U.S. manufacturing, supply chain, and cybersecurity standards.
Skydio's Hayward, California manufacturing facility has received ISO 14001:2015 certification from the Performance Review Institute (PRI), the internationally recognized standard for environmental management systems. The certification confirms Skydio has built a structured framework to manage environmental impact, meet compliance obligations, and improve performance as manufacturing scales.
Over the past year, we’ve implemented a comprehensive Environmental Management System that established environmental operational controls, strengthened chemical and waste management programs, expanded employee environmental awareness, enhanced emergency preparedness, integrated lifecycle thinking into product development, and formalized continual improvement processes across manufacturing. These initiatives helped position Skydio to successfully achieve ISO 14001 certification while supporting continued growth of U.S. drone manufacturing.
To date, we’ve produced over 65,000 autonomous flying robots, and in July 2026, we surpassed 1,000 docks deployed to customers in the first year of commercial availability. As part of our commitment to invest $3.5 billion in American drone leadership, we plan to open a new U.S. manufacturing facility five times larger than our current space, carrying forward the environmental management framework established through ISO 14001 certification.
“ Skydio has demonstrated its commitment to world-class environmental management by implementing and becoming certified to the ISO14001 standard. They have joined an elite number of organizations worldwide that have achieved certification to this globally recognized environmental standard. PRI Certification is proud to partner with Skydio in this accomplishment and looks forward to continued support of their objective of environmental excellence.
The certification adds to a series of independent validations of Skydio's robust manufacturing, supply chain, and cybersecurity standards. In July 2026, all current Skydio drone solutions were added to the U.S. federal government's Blue UAS Cleared List, including the first and only Blue UAS-cleared DFR solution. The designation confirms that these platforms meet the federal government’s cybersecurity, supply chain, and NDAA compliance requirements.
