About the Role:

This Senior Product Manager is a highly strategic role that will shape the future of Fleet Management and Internal Tooling across the Skydio Cloud platform. You’ll lead both the customer-facing fleet management software that powers our customers’ drone operations, along with the internal systems that make exceptional customer experiences possible. You’ll transform fragmented workflows, telemetry, service data, and real-world field challenges into a cohesive platform vision—and rally teams across Cloud, UX, hardware, firmware, operations, support, and go-to-market to bring it to life, from early discovery through launch and adoption.

Location:

This position is based onsite 5 days/week at our HQ in San Mateo, CA. We offer relocation assistance if needed.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Own and evolve the roadmap for Fleet Management and Internal Tooling, spanning device inventory and health, pilot and organization administration, troubleshooting, support, service, and repair workflows.

  • Define the end-to-end dock service experience from issue detection and remote diagnosis through dispatch, parts, repair, verification, and closure, with a focus on reducing mean time to repair and repeat visits.

  • Drive feature definition and prioritization in close collaboration with design, engineering, and go-to-market teams.

  • Prototype and validate intuitive workflows that abstract away complexity for our customers.

  • Engage with customers, prospects, and internal stakeholders to understand core business problems to develop and iterate user personas and their use case-specific requirements.

  • Communicate plans and progress clearly across stakeholders; follow through to launch and adoption.

  • Collaborate with marketing, support, and customer success to deliver impactful product releases.

What Makes You a Strong Fit:

  • 6+ years defining and delivering market-leading software products, including experience leading the development of software for fleet, logistics, mobility, or other operationally complex environments.

  • Experience wireframing and collaborating closely with UX design.

  • AI-forward mindset, with proven experience using AI to accelerate the product delivery process.

  • Familiarity with data modeling and API-driven architectures; able to reason about systems at scale.

  • Strong technical fluency and ability to work effectively across autonomy, firmware, and cloud engineering teams.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Deep curiosity and empathy for users managing real-world, operational complexity. Excitement to travel to customer sites and engage with end-users to gain a deep understanding of real problems and how Skydio can best solve them.

  • Obtaining FAA Part 107 certification within the first 60 days of employment is strongly encouraged for all Skydio employees and required for this position.

Bonus points:

  • Experience with drones, autonomous systems, robotics, industrial IoT, or other mission-critical connected products.

  • Experience with fleet management, asset lifecycle, work-order, field-service, RMA, parts, warranty, or repair-management systems.

  • Experience replacing fragmented or third-party workflows with a cohesive native platform.

  • Experience serving public safety, critical infrastructure, defense, or other regulated, high-availability customers.
