About the team
The National Security Mission Success team is a growing, mission‑driven group that equips our organization and customers to get maximum value from Skydio UAS solutions. Reporting to the Field Support Representative Manager, this Field Support Representative (FSR) will partner closely with National Security Sales, Customer Support, and Program Management to support U.S. Army customers—primarily the Short Range Reconnaissance (SRR) programs.

About the role
We’re looking for a highly motivated, technically adept professional with hands‑on U.S. Army small UAS (sUAS) experience. You’ll serve as a trusted on‑site and remote advisor to Army stakeholders, owning day‑to‑day customer relationships and closing the loop between our Program Management, Product, Support, and Engineering teams. You’ll plan and execute SRR fielding, training, sustainment, and troubleshooting activities; capture Soldier feedback; and drive rapid, high‑quality resolutions that keep SRR units mission‑ready.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Become a subject‑matter expert on Skydio products, processes, specifications, and roadmap—especially as they apply to U.S. Army SRR workflows and requirements.
  • Plan, execute, and document SRR fielding, new equipment training (NET), sustainment, and modernization events across CONUS/OCONUS units.
  • Develop and refine field support processes that accelerate escalation, debugging, and root‑cause analysis—reducing engineering escalations through effective triage and resolution.
  • Achieve and maintain advanced proficiency by becoming a certified Skydio UAS Operator and Trainer.
  • Deliver on‑the‑job (OJT) training in maintenance and operations for UAS aircraft and associated test equipment, with emphasis on adjustment, calibration, spares recommendations, troubleshooting, and inspection methods suited to Army use.
  • Create and improve written inspection procedures, drawings, and maintenance instructions to help units inspect and maintain their SRR fleets.
  • Provide on‑site company representation and technical support, initiating corrective actions for maintenance, repair, and replacement issues and ensuring issue closure and documentation.
  • Capture and communicate Soldier feedback to inform product updates, documentation, and training materials tailored to Army SRR users.

What makes you a good fit

Required

  • Previous U.S. Army sUAS experience (operator, maintainer, instructor, FSR, or equivalent)—required; direct support of SRR programs strongly preferred
  • 3+ years operating, repairing, and maintaining UAS for large organizations, with customer‑facing field support responsibilities.
  • Ability to travel up to 80%+ (CONUS/OCONUS) to support U.S. Army units.
  • Demonstrated technical troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills; fluency with triage and escalation workflows.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills; confident engaging with military stakeholders at multiple echelons.
  • Unwavering professionalism and a proactive, ownership‑oriented mindset.

Preferred

  • OCONUS (deployed) military experience.
  • Familiarity with RMA, spares, logistics, and depot/repair workflows.
  • Experience with Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with military standard maintenance practices and documentation.
  • Existing or prior U.S. security clearance (or clearable).
Creative, systematic thinker able to manage multiple priorities in austere and dynamic environments.

If you’re passionate about enabling U.S. Army SRR units with cutting‑edge UAS capabilities—and you bring real‑world Army sUAS experience—we’d love to hear from you.
