About the Role

You will play a vital role in shaping that connection, ensuring employees feel informed, inspired, and supported throughout their Skydio journey, from onboarding to ongoing engagement and community-building.
You’ll help deliver engaging onboarding experiences, strengthen our internal communications, and support programs and events that connect employees to Skydio’s mission, culture, and customers.
Location: San Mateo, CA — In-office role (4–5 days per week)
This is an in-person role based at our San Mateo HQ, where you’ll collaborate closely across teams to bring Skydio’s culture to life every day.
How you’ll make an impact:
Onboarding & Integration: Deliver smooth and engaging new hire experiences, ensuring employees feel welcomed, supported, and informed as they join Skydio. Gather feedback to continuously improve onboarding and early engagement.
Internal Communications: Help craft clear, compelling content that keeps employees aligned and connected to their work, including weekly updates, company broadcasts, and monthly newsletters. Seek new ways to make information easy to access and engaging to consume.
Engagement & Culture: Support initiatives, events, and recognition moments that strengthen belonging and connection to Skydio’s mission and customers. Partner with internal groups to bring our culture to life in meaningful, creative ways.
Program Operations: Coordinate logistics and maintain organized tracking for employee experience programs, ensuring they run smoothly, consistently, and with attention to detail.
Continuous Improvement: Track participation, feedback, and impact across programs to identify trends and opportunities to evolve the employee experience.

- Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in Human Resources, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in employee engagement, internal communications, or program coordination preferred.
Nice to Have
- Experience running onboarding programs and/or internal communications.
- Familiarity with event coordination and vendor management.
- Knowledge of employee engagement survey tools and analytics.
- Demonstrated ability to use storytelling, visuals, and data to engage internal audiences.
- Certification in HR, internal communications, or employee engagement a plus.
Compensation: At Skydio, our compensation packages for regular, full-time employees include competitive base salaries, equity in the form of stock options, and comprehensive benefits packages. Compensation will vary based on factors, including skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience. Relocation assistance may also be provided for eligible roles. The annual base salary range for this position is $98,000 - $120,000. Fundamentally, we believe that equity is the key to long-term financial growth, and we ensure all regular, full-time employees have the opportunity to significantly benefit from the company's success. Regular, full-time employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s group health insurance plans. Regular, full-time employees are eligible to receive the following benefits: Paid vacation time, sick leave, holiday pay and 401K savings plan.
